Sheltered visitor moorings on the river Deben.
Via the Calendar you may book one of our two Blue dinghies marking your visitor mooring. Alternatively there are two Orange Visitor dinghies that we place in the mooring field as first come first served when there are moorings available.
Drafts measured at astronomical LW. Both moorings are suitable for LWL of up to 32 ft, acceptations will only be given on fair weather forecasts.
Please treat “Number of guests” as Number of moorings you wish to book Maximum pre booked moorings we can take is 2 with tenders, if you have your own tender and just need a buoy please add this to special requests or call 01473 736260.
Visitor Mooring Guidelines:
- Roughly speaking the mooring buoy should be occupied for the night and a reasonable time the following day, boats come and go on the natural times of the tide so be polite if there is a boat on the buoy you have been allocated and ask your fellow sailors as they maybe coming or going.
- The dinghy's provided are 10 ft fiberglass rowing dinghy's equipped with rowlocks, oars and a bailer. They are kept on the moorings for transport to the beach.
Please use the chains to tie the dinghy on the beach when going ashore minding the swimming zone and the mud that is ahead of the pub.
- The boatyard is on VHF channel 37 or +44 (0) 1473 73 62 60
-The pontoon is not for visitor use, as it is kept private for berth holders to maintain security of their craft.
-To avoid disappointment please book your table at the Maybush in advance as it is a popular pub. www.debeninns.co.uk
